I work as an International Coordinator at the HT Faculties’ International Office, mainly with exchange agreements, out- and inbound exchange students, and staff mobility.

In 2003 I defended my doctoral dissertation in Classical Archaeology and Ancient History. The thesis treated a specific sculptural material on Cyprus (Egyptianizing votive sculpture) and discussed cultural contacts in the Eastern Mediterranean during the first millennium BCE. Since 2018 I have found my way back to research. In focus are Phoenician architectonic elements, religious sculpture, everyday items, and textiles. The Phoenician material culture – mainly expressed in painted and inlaid high-quality wood, decorated metal objects, and high-quality textiles with colorful patterns – seemingly had great impact on surrounding areas, both in the Levant and further west along the Mediterranean. I am interested in tracking this (mostly absent) influential ancient material culture in the preserved archaeological record.

In the Research Portal you can search and find information about all active researchers, units, publications, projects, infrastructures, and more, to get an overview of Lund University research.
