My doctoral research analyses a so-called "investigative turn" within contemporary art. My dissertation, tentatively titled Exhibiting Evidence: The Investigative Turn in Contemporary Art, focuses on selected artists who utilise digital remote-sensing technologies, comparing their reflexivity towards this kind of technology and its embedded notions of accuracy and scientific knowledge. The aim of the dissertation is to provide an art historical genealogy of investigative approaches in art from the late 20th century to today, in order to understand contemporary art's relationship to (techno)epistemics, accuracy, and truth, and the notion of art as a conduit for different kinds of knowledge.

I hold a Bachelors in Gender Studies from Wheaton College and a Masters in Visual Culture from Lund University.
