Currently at the start of my second year of doctoral studies, researching narrative creation and perpetuation in bog body research, queer theory and alterity, and the perception of bogs, peatlands and wetlands as a space through time.

My key research areas are:

  • the 'phenomenon' of bog bodies in NW Europe
  • narrative creation in bog body research
  • death traditions and folklore
  • the bog environment as a specific landscape/space

More widely, I am interested in ethical discussions related to the use of human remains in research, the use of digital techniques in archaeological research, teaching and education, and archaeological theory.

In the Research Portal you can search and find information about all active researchers, units, publications, projects, infrastructures, and more, to get an overview of Lund University research.

My profile in Lund University research portal
  • HTDR / HT Doctoral Student Council - Ethics Board doctoral student representative
  • Member of DARKLab - Lund University Digital Archaeology Laboratory
  • Member of the Burial Archaeological Research Group – Death, Burial, and Social Identity
  • Member of the Bog Body Research Network
  • Committee member for the CIfA Forensic Archaeology SIG
