I'm a Ph.D. student in Historical Archaeology since 2016. My research topic is parchment production in medieval Scandinavia and its relationship to animal husbandry strategies and the increasing literacy in society. After my studies in archaeology and osteology I worked a couple of seasons as a field archaeologist in Malmö. My primary career has, however, been as an animal bone specialist within the commercial sector. I've spent 11 years in Oxford where I received an extensive experience of bone assemblages from the Neolithic to the post-medieval period; both rural and urban sites (including medieval kitchen waste from Oxford University's colleges!). I'm primarily interested in animal husbandry strategies in urban/rural societies and the animals' paths through the various crafts that deal with animal products, such as butcher, tanner, bone- and horn worker.

In the Research Portal you can search and find information about all active researchers, units, publications, projects, infrastructures, and more, to get an overview of Lund University research.
