I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in Cultural Sciences, based in the Division of Musicology. My research interests are diverse but my current project explores the political place-making practices of British and Swedish pop music.
I lecture on various Sound Studies and Musicology courses, and I am a member of the Popular Culture Research Node and the Science & Technology Studies Reading Group. I am also a guest editor of POPULÄR: Nordic Journal for Popular Culture Research.

My first book – Edinburgh’s Enlightenment Geographies: Planning, Surveying, Travelling, Compiling – will soon be out with Boydell & Brewer.
