Please contact your Head of Department and/or Division if you have any questions regarding this matter.
What does mobility entail for other staff categories?
Through mobility for other staff within Erasmus+ you have the opportunity to travel to a (partner) university, company or organisation in Europe for a study visit, job shadowing, study visits or participation in a course. The mobility is to have a direct connection with the work duties of the employee in question.
If you choose to travel to a higher education institution, this would normally be one of the partner universities of the Faculties of Humanities and Theology with which there are well-established contacts, but for staff mobility within Erasmus+ (with the exception of teacher mobility) a bilateral agreement is no longer a requirement for the exchange. You can personally contact the unit/division/department you would like to visit. Once you have a reply from the host institution confirming their willingness to receive you, you can submit an application.
You can find the faculties existing Erasmus agreements here
The following organisations are not authorised for continuing professional development of staff:
- EU institutions
- Organisations managing EU programmes
To what countries can I travel for continuing professional development?
To one of the 28 EU member states, the EES countries Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway as well as Macedonia and Turkey.
The following conditions must be met:
- Contact the HT International Office to find out whether there are funds to finance your mobility
- Minimum two days and maximum two weeks for job shadowing or other forms of staff exchange
- Employee of Lund University
- A written application must have been submitted and approved before the exchange can take place
The staff continuing professional development is to be spent consecutively in one place. Travel days connected with the stay can be included in the total length when reporting the exchange. It is also possible to combine two days at a conference with five days of job shadowing, for example. Please note that you can only visit one host institution during a single mobility period!
PLEASE NOTE that deadlines for applications within Erasmus+ (European mobility) have been introduced with regard to teacher mobility and continuing professional development. The application deadline for mobility during the Autumn is 1 June and the last time to apply for the Spring semester is 1 December. Insofar as there are funds left over, applications submitted after the deadline will also be considered.
Remember that the exchange must be reported and documentation complete at the latest one month after your return.
