The course consists of reading and analysis of a representative selection of classical Arabic poetry and fiction and of independent interpretation of poetry and fiction. The course is a compulsory component of the Master of Arts program in Language and Linguistics specializing in Arabic. The course is also offered as a free-standing course and can normally be included as part of a first- or second cycle degree.
