Information about public thesis defence
A doctoral degree comprises 240 ects, which corresponds to four years of full-time study. For a doctoral degree, you must have passed the courses included in the education and have your doctoral dissertation approved. The doctoral dissertation is defended orally at a public thesis defence.
Information about licentiate seminar
A licentiate degree comprises 120 ects, which corresponds to two years of full-time studies. For the licentiate degree, you must have passed the courses included in the education and have your licentiate thesis approved. The licentiate thesis is defended orally at a public licentiate seminar.
