The course deals with basic didactic aspects of second language learning, second language development and second language assessment. It further discusses Swedish as a second language from phonological, grammatical, semantic and textual linguistic perspectives. The student carries out practical exercises through the analyses of authentic texts produced by students at various levels of the school system. The texts are examined for their language, contextual and genre related qualities.

Admission Requirements

SVEA01, SSLA21 eller annan genomgångenkurs på grundnivå som innefattar språkinlärning.

To be eligible for the course requires the completion of
courses at foundation level, which include language
learning/language development.
