Yiddish: Intermediate Course I for Teachers
The course places strong emphasis on reading, text comprehension and oral and written language proficiency, mainly through reading Yiddish literature. Students train to analyse and explain Yiddish grammar. The course has a stronger focus on Yiddish literature than the previous course (Yiddish: Language and Literature, Level 2 B) and introduces, as part of the teaching, basic teaching methodology and the governing documents that apply to Yiddish teaching in Sweden.
The course consists of the following modules:
1. Policy Documents and Didactics, 7.5 credits
2. Yiddish Literature and Grammar, 7.5 credits

Eligibility:
To be admitted to the course, students must have successfully completed YIDD12, Yiddish: Language and Literature, Level 1 B or have acquired the equivalent knowledge.
