Accessibility on our premises
Outdoor tactile paving guides the visually impaired to the southern (A) and northern (E) entrances. These in turn connect to indoor tactile flooring. From these entrances you can access lifts and ramps leading to all areas in the building. There is a lift in House A (just next to Entrance D) and a lift in House B (which you can access via a lift platform in the foyer near the south entrance). There is also a lift at the north entrance (E) who takes you down to the foyer and the lower level of LUX Auditorium (LUX:C116).
Accessible restrooms are available on all floors.
Accessibility parking
Accessible parking is available in the courtyard between houses A and B, with a ground-level entrance (entrance D).
Evacuation
In case of fire, the stairwells in both LUX and SOL constitute safe zones. These areas, known as evacuation sites, provide a place for people with impaired mobility or orientation abilities to await assistance from the emergency services. You can find the locations of these sites on the evacuation plans. There are also signs with instructions at the sites. If you help someone to a safe zone or see someone in one, please inform a member of the evacuation organisation (they are wearing yellow vests), the security officer or someone in the emergency services.

Hearing loops
Hearing loops are available in the main LUX Auditorium (LUX:C116) and the LUX:C121 and LUX:C126 lecture rooms. In LUX:C121, you must switch the hearing loop on using the button on the wall.
In other lecture halls you can borrow a mobile hearing loop from the IT unit. Please ask your teacher if you need one.
For public events, please contact the organiser well in advance.
Mobile hearing loops can be collected from the IT Unit during opening hours, which are 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Monday–Friday. You can contact the IT Unit by email or by phone on +46 46 222 32 30.
LUX Library
There is a lift to all floors of the LUX Library, and tactile paving for the visually impaired leads from the main entrance to the library. The information desk at the LUX Library is height-adjustable. There is also a height-adjustable desk in the resource room, which can be booked at the library reception by those who need it for work or study purposes. Several standing tables are available throughout the library for anyone who wishes to use them. There are two quiet study rooms in the library, one of which is a computer-free zone. There are two accessible restrooms in the LUX Library: one on the lower ground floor and one on the second floor. The accessible restroom on the ground floor is located just outside the library.
