Courses and programmes

Lund University offers many courses and programmes with international and intercultural elements. They also give you the chance to meet students from all over the world.

Special Area Study courses (SAS courses)

Take a Special Area Study course. Many incoming exchange students take SAS courses, so it gives you a chance to meet students from all over the world. The courses are 7.5 credits and cover a wide range of subjects, such as gastronomy, the human/animal relationship, migration, sustainability, the role of the media, and more.

The global classroom means that everyone gets to share their own knowledge and values. Discussions are therefore based on many different perspectives.

Most SAS courses are part-time at 50% or 75%, which means you can fit a course alongside your regular studies.

You apply as usual via Antagning.se – just search for the name of the course.

Study a Bachelor's or Master's programme in English

There are many exciting programmes offered in English at Lund University. Here, too, you will have the opportunity to meet students from many different countries and study with them in the global classroom. Most programmes offered in English are at the Master's level.

Virtual mobility through EUGLOH

EUGLOH is a multidisciplinary project between five universities in Europe to address societal challenges on the theme of Global Health. The EUGLOH member universities are Lund University, University of Porto (Portugal), Université Paris-Saclay (France), University of Szeged (Hungary) and LMU – Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (Germany). But there's more! EUGLOH also aims to create several international opportunities for you as a student to complement your studies in Lund – ranging from webinars on integration, virtual exchanges and conferences on epidemiology to summer schools and physical exchanges.

Canvas course on international opportunities

Lund University also has a Canvas course on international opportunities. The Canvas course "Extracurricular International Opportunities" provides information on international opportunities such as virtual exchanges, short-term mobilities, webinars, and travel scholarships that are available to all Lund University students. New activities will be published throughout the semester.

Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs)

There are a variety of exciting courses with varied content offered online. The courses are open to everyone. They do not give any credit and cannot be included in any degree, but you will receive a certificate when you complete the course. There are many courses with an international flavour.
