Course
Course 30 credits • LINK23
Did previous basic courses in phonetics trigger your curiosity to learn how speech works in detail? In that case, this course is for you, where the focus is on more advanced issues on how we produce and perceive speech, the sound aspect of language.
You’ll work with questions such as:
• How are sounds formed in the vocal tract?
• How do we perceive speech?
• How can we measure and analyse speech scientifically?
The course concludes with an independent thesis project where you delve into a topic of your choice – contributing new knowledge in phonetics.
