Course 7.5 credits • SVEH11
Want to learn Swedish from scratch, but need a flexible schedule? This beginner-friendly online course lets you study part-time from anywhere – perfect if you're new to the language and university life.
This course is designed for international students who want to start learning Swedish in a simple and structured way. You don’t need any previous knowledge of the language. Over the course of the term, you’ll build basic skills in speaking, writing, listening, and reading Swedish.
The course follows the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and helps you reach level A1, which means you’ll be able to understand and use everyday expressions and basic phrases.
You’ll study vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, and sentence structure. You’ll also explore a few cultural aspects of Swedish society – like traditions and customs – through short texts and conversations.
