This course introduces you to the science of how speech is made and understood. You’ll learn how the muscles in your mouth and throat help produce speech sounds, how air flows and sound waves are formed, and how your brain and senses are involved in speaking and listening. You’ll also explore key theories and research in speech production and perception.
