Global Healers: Arts and Humanities

EUGLOH (European University Alliance for Global Health) erbjuder en engelskspråkig distanskurs för alla studenter vid Lunds universitet.

Ansök senast den 2 mars.

Kursen ges mellan den 7 februari och den 30 maj 2022.

Do the humanities have a healing power? Is there a cure in philosophy or ethics? Can we combine cultural studies with the various disciplines of medicine to promote health?

These and similar questions will be addressed in the new series of the online lectures of the Open University, related to global health from the perspective of arts, humanities and social sciences. The course is open to all majors, with the aim to disseminate information about ways in which the humanities and social sciences can contribute to diverse practices of healing and our understandings of health, but also more broadly how innovative and interdisciplinary uses of arts and humanities subjects serve the creation of a healthy society. Invited speakers come from various backgrounds in which the humanities play diverse roles, either as central focus of research or as providing an inspiring perspective or insight into seemingly non-related disciplines.
